I was able to run the shock cord in a ridge line configuration and just put all the netting loops on that single line... seemed to work fine for my wife.

The vendor told me that "5" bury is plenty of length and what it's supposed to be".
Is that right? I'm not sure based on my other reading, but I'm still green....
See if this helps

From Samson
The "fid length" of a rope is calculated as 21 times the rope diameter.
According to my math:
21 x 7/64"= 2.296875"
21 x 1/8"=2.625"
The PDF I linked says 3-1/2 fids for the bury
3.5 x 2.296875= 8.039"
3.5 x 2.625= 9.1875"
Just to clarify, my last question was an "I can't believe you were sold a set of whoopie slings with that short of a bury!!".
