Favorite wilderness/outdoor books to read in a hammock?

I thought this might be an interesting discussion. Not exactly hammock talk, but I tend to read a good bit in my hammock. I'm currently reading the Hatchet series by Gary Paulsen and(like I needed it ) it's really reminding me of why I love the outdoors so much. If any of you have some good recommendations I'm sure myself and others would like to hear them!

I have found myself constantly poring over All that the Rain Promises...And More. Studying each type of mushroom so that I can properly identify any I may come across. It has been quite handy when a buddy of mine and I stumbled upon a bunch of aspen boletes and morels.
I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!

I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.

It's not peer pressure, it's just your turn.

I can open up Horace Kephart's Camping and Woodcraft and start reading it anywhere and enjoy it over and over.

Edit: Read a digital copy of this 1917 classic on line free HERE at the Open Library.

+1 on the plant identification books!! I have all my books on my phone so I can do on-the-trail i.d.

I am also reading "Mud, Sweat, and Tears" by Bear Grylls. Just finished "Into Thin Air" by John Krakauer. Very intense...

I like "Handy Farm Devices" good thing about this, you can find this
as a free legal download. This book teaches you how to make every
single device and tool to build and run a farm, including tending livestock.

Nevada Barr's National Park Ranger Anna Pigeon murder/mystery series. Kinda best to read them in order.

Hatchet is a fictional series about a boy who, after his plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness, has to survive with nothing but his hatchet. I first read in the series in the fourth grade and my cousin who is now in the fourth grade will not shut up about it so I decided to read it again. It's a very easy read but still a very good book.

I have heard of this series but seen mixed reviews. Is it worth the read?
