    quilt prices

Is it my imagination, or did pretty much all of the cottage makers bump up their prices 10-20 bucks in the last few weeks? I have read several places that high quality down is getting more expensive, so it stands to reason that quilt prices would start to creep up. I have been waiting to save up for a new underquilt, so I thought I knew the costs. They are all now a notch up from the last time I checked.

Best time to buy a quilt is during the fall when many of the vendors have Xmas sales.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Down has taken a huge jump in price in the last couple months. In some cases as much as a 40% increase in our price.

Unlike gasoline...where the price jumps just for fun...even when wholesale world price drops

No word at all from the down suppliers what the jump is from. Just a good old grab your ankles sort of thing.

This literally happened to me over night. I bought a jrb mw4 about a month ago. I had it in my shopping cart ready to check out on a sunday night. I decided to hold off til the next day so I could call and inquire about the shipping costs(I thought 23 bucks to ship a 2 lb package seemed a little old school to me) when I got home from work the next day to finish my purchase the price had jumped! I called and plead my case and they met me in the middle. Hope this isn't a trend, I still gotta get a top quilt!
