    water wick

My camp towel is a ShamWow, and I think they work great with helping dry items that get wet. It really wicks the water out of my gear. So I was messing with my suspension system (for my new Claytor JH that was supposed to show up today and didn't!!!) with the two rings and strap. Well, I cut an inch wide strip off the long side of the ShamWow, and tied it about 5" above the rings. I went to the sink and held the strap under the running water for about 3 min. The strap became damp about 2" past the strip about a minute in. Never went further than that! I used the yellow thicker one, not the thin blue towel, which didn't do as well. Just thought you all might like to know.

Hair looks like it would have a fair amount of "wicking ability"

All joking aside that is the same stuff from which Ed Speer makes his drip strips. I have found these towels at local flea markets for cheep. And it does indeed work well.
