Interesting part is they are made with discarded fire hoses. Go figure.

Now, who's going to educate them? Any Danes on the board?

Next year they will be putting a hammock grove on Governor's Island in New York City. They are building the park now.
I'm having problems with my hang.
All I can find are trees 14'-20' apart and it seems that no matter what I do, I lay flat.
How can I get that perfect banana U shape lay shown in these photos? All advice is welcome. Thanks.
This is awesome. For some reason it reminded me of the bus stop swing sets an artist installed in London. Very cool idea indeed
I believe you want trees 12 to 15 feet apart. You also want to be at a 30 degree angle with your suspension or somewhere close. Also do you use a ridgeline? that will help give more sag, which will create a more banana shape.
mmmm... Nevermind.
Thanks Dev

"But hey, 2 trees anywhere is a bedroom waiting to happen, right?"
2nd Picture, the guy in the back in a Capital "L" position. He nailed the olympic gold on that one.
I needs me one of them there contraption.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
The way I see it you can move the hammock ends to get either a flat lay or a swing style or like Mr. L on picture 2 anything in between. Cook idea though, just thinking how long it will take until some vandals destroy them.
