    Thanks Kayt,

    I really hope I need it. I am jonzing for snow. Looking for alternative sites has really reminded me how perfect frog lake is, short level snowy walk in- beautiful scenery, easy to drive to, very walkable great trees.

    :: Question all::

    I don't remember paying for anything last time, and website seems to indicate it's closed, am I just getting a snow park pass and I am good?

    Yep only requires a Snow Park pass. Then you park at the snow park and head in. The campground is technically closed but its ok to camp there..
    Called the ranger service in the past asking and its fine as long as people don't destroy stuff.

    And if your in Washington get a Washington snowpark pass. At least that is how its been in past years. Oregon and Washington have an agreement. But they go by the plates.
    I dont think you would have an issue either way but better safe than sorry.

    I'm planning to drive down... If Coil doesn't get me killed on Mazama ridge or Reflections Lake the weekend. He mentioned something about practicing crevasse rescues?

    Guess this gives us something to discuss while keeping warm at camp.
    Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the strength to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I am planning to head up that way fri-sunday (just looking for some fun near paradise) would love to pick your/ coils brains before heading up and itd be cool to meet up. A couple of noobs, and paprika bohlmann from the oregon hangs are coming up too, I live in the seattle area now, so, particularly in the winter,I am down for some explorin'.

    I've been prepping!! Made a new weather shield for DFab! With her hammock gear TQ & UQ, she should be toasty!!
    Also, decided to play with pods. Gonna try out a new system this hang.
    Yippee!!!

    Check it out!

    Turns out, the exped dreamwalker 450 is well suited to this application. I modded by adding two small tabs, one at the foot and one at the head/hood, to keep it from sliding. I suspect I'll be too warm, but I can't wait to try it out.

    We're almost there, folks!!!
