    warbonnet webbing and cinch buckles

having used both whoopie slings and webbing suspensions i'm now thinking about converting all of my hammocks to a webbing suspension, personal preference / ease of use. so two questions:

1- i have used straps from shippers supply and find that while ok webbing i don't care for it, how ever i also have a webbing and cinch buckle setup from warbonnet and i really like the webbing that he uses. does anyone know where i can find similar webbing by the foot since he only sells tree straps and webbing / cinch buckle combo? managed to dig up this thread that suggests that the webbing from AHE is the same / very similar, but the thread is 3 years old anyone care to chime in with a current comparison? or the webbing from DIYgearsupply?

2- cinch buckles, really don't care for warbonnets triangular plates as i find them difficult to release, have considered buckles from on rope1 or dutch but what i would really like to find are buckles of this style / type but load rated -

    1. No help here. I've been wondering the same thing. I do have some 1500 # webbing coming from Ready Strap in a few days and can compare it to WB's and Shippers Supply that I have.

The only place I've noticed this style is at Onrope1 but they are 1 3/4" which does me no good.

Dutch has been working on, and is supposed to be close to having this style cinch buckle for 1" made of Ti.

The straps from Arrowhead Equipment are very similar, if not the same, as the ones from warbonnet. Pay close attention when ordering them though, because he has many different options on his website.

The warbonnet webbing suspension that came with my Ridgerunner uses (2) 12' long straps. If you wanted to get something similar from AHE, you would need to order "Webbing Suspension Lines" from this AHE webpage.

Take note that you order by the foot, and whatever length you specify, they will split it in half and sew loops on one end of each strap. So if you order 25', you will get (2) 12' straps with a 2" loop on one side of each strap with 4" of sewn overlap.

Just remembered I have a set of tree straps from AHE from about a year back as is my WBRR. Looks the same, feels the same, measures the same thickness and is available by the foot in the DIY section..

If you use the onrope buckles don't forget to use a slippery half hitch to keep them from slipping.
It's only an addiction if you're trying to quit
