    Interal bungee in Safari?

    Howdy Gang,
I got my Safari the other day and am enjoying it so far. One thing that has me perplexed though is the internal bungee cord that runs across the middle of the hammock. It has clips so that it can be removed but I'm not sure what its purpose is supposed to be. Is it there to hold a sleeping mat?
    Curious,
    Doc

My hennessey explores deluxe has one too. I'm convinced it is for pad management. I really don't know though.

My expedition asym has this too. I hooked it to the ring by the tie out & to the foot end zipper. Easier than scrambling around to get to the far end.

I was going to pop on here and ask the same question - seems rather odd to me, especially since no one knows what it is for!

Seems like I saw on one of Hennessy setup videos that he used it to hold the mosquito net back He unzipped it and flipped the net over the ridge line. Then he pulled the cord up over the ridge line and connected it to the tie out on the back side.

I inquired about the function of the bungee directly with Hennessy and was told it is to hold the bubble pad in place that Hennessy sells for insulation..mystery solved.
