Sold Item Subforum

I'd just like to say, since the mods are reading this, that it is REALLY NICE that we are getting feedback about a suggestion. I have been on HF for almost a year and in that time, I can only think of one suggestion off the top of my head that actually was implemented. That was when the trip planning subforums were made for the various regions. Often, I have seen suggestions be made and little feedback from a mod. It has often felt like that there has been a resistance to change. I understand that every suggestion won't be implemented or even given serious consideration. Even so, it is nice to have some kind of response other than just being brushed off. So, THANK YOU for taking the time to consider this idea. I, for one, see this as a very nice positive in the new era of moderating.

Others have noted getti g threads marked SOLD or moved will make looking at active listings easier for the prospective buyer. Keeping these threads once SOLD in the for sale or sold sub forum allows transparent tracking and price points for those interested in using that for their search. For those that find no value in this they can overlook the SOLD threads or skip that sub forum, should it be established.

Simple is a matter of perspective. Over time some perspectives change.

I moved all the sold items to a sub forum under the FOR SALE forum titled "[SOLD] items no longer available". There was about 1,725 SOLD threads that I moved. This will make looking at the active FOR SALE listing easier.

On items that get sold, we will leave them listed in the for sale forum seven days after they are reported to us as being sold. This should give the users that are watching the item enough notification that it was sold before it gets moved, I hope.

This also gives enough time for payment to go through,
and take seconds and such. Great idea.

That number of posts moved? That should make searches faster.

It has been said on here by people who have experience with vbulletin that it isn't any harder to move a thread than it is to lock it and change the title. I was going off of this info in my previous post.

Now there's only 336 pages to search (with many items marked sold) in the For Sale forum. Much better
