    DD Frontline

Received my DD FL today and am amazed at the quality.
Have now gone from DIY to generic HAAB to ENO to Chrysalis to DD

    Can't wait to hang it

Any tips or tricks? I ordered whoopie suspension from AHE so any advise on how to install on DDFL appreciated.

    Blue Skies!

The frontline is a nice hammock. Hope you enjoy it.

I used to own a Frontline. I found that I was much more comfortable hanging it much looser than recommended. DD recommended a very taut suspension which resulted in a very uncomfortable center ridge for me. Other than that I was very happy with the Frontline. If I ever decide I need a backup hammock it will probably be a Frontline.

Set it up last night and love it EXCEPT for the center ridge and I did not have it very taut. I am thinking maybe a Mini Spreader Bar might be the solution. Has anyone else put MSB on Frontline?

I have not - but somewhere here (probably in the DIY forum) there is an extensive thread about doing this. It was something I thought would really help the Frontline but just never got around to doing it.

Passin - Yep I went through all 50 pages of that thread last nite!

Thinking maybe a piece of stiff webbing through the channel with grommets on the ends to put spreader in. Loops also on ends for to attach suspension.
OR maybe just try the carabiner idea.

Hmm I don't have a center ridge in mine. Are you using whoopies or stock suspension? I am using whoopies and tree straps.

    Riddled

I only set it up last nite with stock suspension.
I have whoopie sling kit from AHE I am planning to put on it.
How much sag do you allow?

    Thanks!

Set your suspension at a 30 degree angle.
