    Ground sheet

Hey guys, been thinking of making a ground sheet so when I step out of my RR I am not stepping on the ground. Anyone done this? If so, how big is a good size or is this just your own wants/needs?
I am thinking a piece of tyvek, maybe 2'x4' and putting some grommets on each corner. What do you think?

Tyvek or other plastic is commonly used. Go for it. Also, you can use it as a sit pad when on the trail.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

Tyvek at 2'x4'. Simple and cheap.

Sometimes, you can find polycryo on sale at the big box stores. 101 uses, strong and light. Looks like this:polycryo.jpg

Here's a guy using it for a groundcloth

I go to the dollar store and pick up cheap shower curtains, they are usually two bucks. I get a couple of hangs from each one. When they are done with, I use them to wrap up garbage.

I have a leftover piece of kite fabric which I use. It is 12"x18". Just large enough to stand or sit on.

I used the shower curtain liner method Debi mentioned...but, mine was recycled and I cut mine down to about 2' x 4'. The size is really about what's comfortable for you.
Dutch: Hammock is probably more weight but who wants to lay on the ground? I pee on the ground.
