Garner State Park, Texas Family car camping

Took the family out for a few days at Garner State park this past week, left Wednesday morning and came back Friday, 2 nights in between...

Decent camp site... Two hammocks hanging... My weight weenie micro with Superfly and my daughter's table cloth hammock and ENO Profly... And a new tent on a test run since the wife won't hang yet...

Our little hang out area, me and the wife napped here, her first time in a hammock even though I have been trying to edge her into one for a year plus... After about an hour nap we both woke up and I said we should probably go get supper started, her response was "or we could just hang here a little longer" I think we have another believer in the house!!!

My daughter asleep with bugnet open like a silly one, luckily bugs weren't too bad...

Cool weather patterns, rained on us Wednesday night, the pictures was Thursday evening, heard thunder, never got any moisture...

    My little hiking partner...

    Good views...

Good pics. Love the panorama shots (I forget I can do that with my camera). Thanks for sharing!

It is one of the few ways I have found that actually gives you some scope to the photo's... Otherwise pictures just seem flat...

Hey Brute... thanks for the pics.
I use to love going to Garner.

    Then it got busy.

I should really look into camping there more, especially
since kids will be going back to school on Monday.

This is going to be the great time of year for us hangers.

There's nothing like family time in the woods. I do like solo trips and group trips where I am only worrying about myself, but I cherish the times when I can share what I love with those I love.
