    Hanging inside...

Well as of today the beds are in storage whilst the wife and kid try out hammocks instead of the beds. The kiddo has been napping in his just not overnight. Day started of with the wife wanting to reorganize the kids room and I asked if they wanted to organize my way. I'm brutal and if it isn't needed out it comes.

Got rid of the bed and half the toys and created tons of play space for the kiddo, now he loves his room. Afterwards, the wife asked about her being able to hang inside and I said the king bed needs to come out. I've been hanging for a week in the living room, and she wants to hand as well so out the bed went and 4 sets of brackets in the room. Unfortunately,Lowes was out of the 1/4" x 3" SS Lags so I went with galvanized for now, I will change them out asap as I had one snap as I used my impact to put it in.

Well back to trying to put the house back together...

I just recently started the full time hang indoors. This is going to be night number five for me. I built a 1 1/4 galvanized pipe stand over my bed.

LOL guys you need to get them hooked...

Though I am lucky my wife is more tomboy and grew up on 50 acres of woods and loves the outside. This was only bound to happen and when I saw the opportunity to make it happen I jumped in feet first. Though the house is still a disaster by tomorrow everything should be organized and back into place. Who knew women pack rat sooooo much stuff.

Here's how I converted my wife. I took her tent camping with our old gear (on an air mattress) and the following night I setup the hammocks I made and invited her to try the hammock with the knowledge she could easily move to the tent in the night. And that was history. One night in the hammock and she was sold.

Good going, craig! I got my gf hooked early on, and she has decided we will have a hammock inside!
I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!

I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.

It's not peer pressure, it's just your turn.

A little more fine tuning today, to keep the room easy access I installed a couple of decorative hangers so we can move the hammocks off to the sides of the room when not hanging.

Keeps the room nice and open for other projects.

Craigthor.... nice job getting them to move.

I really like the idea of doing this in the kid's room.
The fact that it gives much more play area is the best reason.

You could even make decorative snake skins so that other people
wouldn't be able to recognize that they are hammocks.
