I have a roll of http://www.amazon.com/Woodstock-130-...ck+planerboard and I love it ~15 grams per 50ft. The only thing is that it is too small for the small metal figure 9's. I'm going to try the 200lb stuff next.

Hammocking, car camping, backpacking, kayaking, and mountain biking. Getting in touch with nature is getting expensive. Good thing I can DIY!

do you think it is slick enough for bear bagging?
It's not super slick but it might work for a bear bag. I think the dyneema stuff gets the nod for that application. I'm in Middle Tennessee so bears aren't really a problem. Try it, let us know how it works.

I'm using this stuff http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
.8mm @ 200lbs it works great for the tarp ridge-line and the tie-outs. It also use it for bear bagging and I as a jump line for cave and/or wreck diving.
I literally trust this stuff with my life. Almost a 1000 feet for $25-- good stuff.
Nothing I do is done by popular demand.

Spamburgler gave me some 200 lb. test, and it make some good prussic loops, grips tight yet slides easily. I don't see me using it as a ridge line though.
I think I need some of that 200lb stuff for prussics. SWEET!
It's also worth looking at Z-Line. Strong, light and doesn't tangle easy.
