    Question Free stuff

I recently came across a page on here called -pay it foward- and the whole idea of it sound like a really good concept
I also have a hard time getting rid of my unused gear but i am going to go thru some stuff today and see if i can contribute to this page,
I strongly encourage others to do the same !

The Pay It Forward subforum hasn't taken off?? Its been around now for a few years. Its up to 845 pages, with a few pages added each week.
Are you sure you're looking here?

I believe Saedy is telling us that he/she recently FOUND the Pay It Forward section. I'm waiting to get my post count up to 50 so I can take a peak inside of it.

Looks like Saedy realized the mistake and edited the post, here was the original:

daddydaddy is having a give away and over 150 members have signed up in as little as 3 days yet this pay it foward page is basicly dorment,
    Why?
whoever came up with the concept must have thought i would take off and i am alittle surprised that it has not.
I also have a hard time getting rid of my unused gear but i am going to go thru some stuff today and see if i can get that page going again,
I strongly encourage others to do the same, once it gets going it may turn out to be a great place for people to give and recieve.

The Pay It Forward Section used to be better with some very active times and then some dormant times. I have not been on HF as much lately due to work and other projects. I know I have a pay it forward on there that has not been claimed and I need to update it. Maybe we can get it going again. The idea behind it is a very good one. We need some good PIF's to get it going again.
I guess I better check my gear room and update my PIF.

I am a huge believer in the Pay It Forward subforum and have partaken of its bounty several times. The key is that you can take something but you have to have a return give in the process.

I look at the thread often but there just isn't anything that blows my skirt up or floats my boat (insert your favorite phrase here) that I want thus not putting anything there to give out. There is the ability to do a NO CLAIM posting where you give away something without taking anything. I could have done that with the DIY Sack Pack or the DIY Suspension Caddy but I wanted to put something out there for a little fun and for everyone, noobs and donating members alike to have a shot at.

Will I put a NO CLAIM on the PIF thread in the future? Sure will. Just wanted to do a little "contest" to generate a little excitement, have some fun and show my overall appreciation to HF as a whole.

BajaHanger is right. PIF has its feast and famine times. I've seen it. It's still a great way for HF members to share the love and make it easier on newer members to get some choice gear for the low cost of a good deed.

Have fun wherever you do your good deed. If it ain't fun, you're doing it wrong.

Dude! I didn't even know such a sub-forum existed! I suppose that's what I get for not having 50 posts on here yet.
    - We're never going to survive this!!
    - Nonsense. You only say that because no one ever has.

My only complaint about that type of restriction is that, when you're a newbie with nothing productive to add, you are forced to "pad" your post count with comments that don't benefit anyone.
