If there are any gear makers who need access to edit THEIR sections, please send me a PM and I will allow editing. Your section only!

If there are any new gear makers who want to add their gear let me know and I can setup access.

Alternatively, send me an excel file with the new information and I will add that to the file. It must be formatted EXACTLY like the existing file.

How about adding Arrowhead's Jarbridge River UQs?

    They're 58" long, since I'm 5', it works great

Sometimes simple is just as good.

Holy cow, you guys are too serious about this for me. You'd laugh at all the junk I've strung together to hang around in over the years. I'm a poor boy (well, 60 years old anyway). If I'd have had to pay all that money to sleep comfortably in the hills I would have had to have stayed home. Even though what I've put together isn't a fancy store bought setup, I've lways been comfy and cozy and except for the Hammaka I got five years ago nothing I use has ever run me more than fifty bucks for the whole thing.
I've never got wet or cold, it takes ten minutes to set up, doesn't weigh enough more than the fancy stuff to be of any concern, and has never failed me. I've been hanging out in the woods for over forty years. If you pass by feel free to chuckle. It don't bother me none. I'm too old to care. I'll chuckle right along with you.

+1. I'm still getting used to hanging, and I expect to get it. If I were to see that list before buying my hammock, I'd have sworn off it for the cost. My hammock cost $15. Webbing, $9. Cinch buckles, $5. ASR, $13. Tarp, $40. Cordage, $5. Bug net, $15. Everything else I'd already owned as a tent/lean-to/tarp camper.

I am a budget backpacker. I find good sites, wait for great deals, seek out codes, etc.

Perhaps the UL aspect of hanging attracted the high-cost crowd. As the adage goes, 'Light, Cheap, Warm. Pick two.' In the end, many of us poor slobs have to go the route of 'entry-level' gear and last year's closeouts and OPS (other people's stuff.) Breaks my heart.

    Not really.
