Am I to big
I currently own a WBBB XLC with no problems I'm 6 foot 270-275 depending g on the day ..... I am seriously looking into purchasing a WBRR with the heavy duty spreader bars ..... Is this a good idea since my weight is over the max?

I would recommend checking in with Brandon directly via email. I do know that he recently came up with some beefier spreader bars for bigger folks that can be requested at time of ordering, but I am not sure if they are the only limiting factor? It's a great hammock BTW!
Cheers

I'm a a bigger guy then you and have found that the weight rating on things usually have a good 20 percent actual rating over what is listed. However I talked with Brandon about this very thing a while back and he implied that the design of bridge hammocks puts all the stresses on the fourth conectin points where the poles connect.
You are just over the rating cusp so your probably fine. But as with all hammocks, if something gets over stressed it it going to be a catastrophic failure.

Most comfortable hammock I have ever slept in.
Contact Brandon and have him send the beefier head end spreader bar.

I talked to Brandon ....and he said even with the beefier spreader bars he couldn't warranty it ...which I totally understand ...man he responds fast to emails....great guy to talk to .... Any ways this is what I'm thinking .....he said he could make a double layer 1.9 on both layers with heavier bars ...what domyounthink about this hammockers.....should I just lose some weight or go this route .....I hate to spend hard earned money ...the not fail without a warranty....

MOST COMFORTABLE HAMMOCK I HAVE EVER SLEPT IN!
Worst case you order one and if it doesn't work out you can sell it on the FS board here.

One thing no one has ever mentioned with overloading the WBRR is I would be more worried about getting a spreader bar in the head when it fails ,rather that the warranty.
What happens if your site is right over a sharp rock when it fails and your spine is shattered.Don't say it will never happen. There are 2 space shuttles that defied odds.
If I was Brandon I would have a bright red tag sewed onto it with a warning.First thing people do when their own stupidity hurts them is they try to figure out a way to make it someone elses fault. It is the society we live in,and I am not trying to be a downer.

It made it to 600lbs and tipped over before failure with informal testing by Brandon himself.
Granted that's static load not dynamic and who knows what the hang angles were etc. etc. etc.
I know there are 300+lb folks hanging from Dynaglide whoopie slings and folks that won't hang on anything with a diameter smaller than 1/8 Amsteel.
