Possible Simple Suspension..

I've been using my HH Expedition for a while know and was thinking whether there was a simpler suspension system than having to tie knots every time..
I've been looking inline at different things like whoopsie sling etc.. but want to know if it would work with carabiners attached to the hammock and then some ENO slaps straps or something?

Any advice/suggestions?

Most use webbing. In combination with other bits. Whoopie slings are another fine choice.

Stay away from the ENO slap straps. They are made out of nylon webbing and have a reputation for stretching.

Whoopies really are worth the money, they are the lightest thing your gonna find and they are really easy to use.
If you want to go with a daisy chain system I would suggest "python straps" from kammock. They are rated higher then anything else I've found and they are easier on the tree.
Alternately you can get a set of descender rings and use what you have. There is no knot tieing with them and you wouldn't have to swap out / modify your suspension.

i just swapped out my stock HH suspension before going to Dolly Sods last weekend.
the whoopie slings were easy to make, install, and hang.
after three years in a HH, i never slept better than last weekend with my new whoopies

I don't use whoopies anymore. I had gotten a bunch of long seat belts at the junk yard to use as tree straps, and then ended up changing my entire suspension system. At first pretty reluctantly because I was hooked on the Marlins Hitch Spike for a couple of years. Now, I use the ring method. I love it, and it's even faster to set up than it was before.

My lightweight rings are on a loop of sewn mule tape. I use a Sheet Bend knot between my mule tape and hammock (impossible slippage) and that will always stay on. Seat belts have a loop sewn in one end (no hardware). I run seat belt around tree, through it's loop, tighten up against tree, loose end goes down to hammock rings, pull up to where I need it, finish off with a slippery half hitch or two above the rings and I'm done.

I use Lock B Load Quickdraws from Readystrap on my Hennessey's. It avoids having to take the rope off the hammock, thus preserving its resale value. Like Diva, I found whoopies to be a bit too fiddly for me while cinch buckles are easy to operate. I just tie the rope from the Hennessy though the loop of the Lock N Load as close to the end of the hammock as possible, then run a tree strap (you can get those from Readstrap, too) through the buckle.

If you'd like to use carabiners, another option would be the 'eyelet rope' hanging system from Exped. It comes with the ErgoCombi hammock (& perhaps others?) but is also sold separately.

It's a bit pricey, but....
It works..I have an Ergo and the setup is easy to adjust. (Ex-climber: I like carabiners..) The eyelets are about 2" apart, plenty close for 'fine adjustment' for my use.
You could make something similar with (lots of) AlpineButterfly knots in Amsteel, or daisy-chain type sewn webbing.

I'm still trying to figure out if there is a way to splice line to get an eyelet rope. The Exped rope is machine braided (not spliced) to form the eyelets.

do yourself a big favor and tie into biners or rap rings close to the hammock body. hank the rope and leave it alone. Now try any suspension system you can think of on the other end of the biner or ring. After you have lived with your new favorite setup for a while and you are sure you are happy then think about changing anything at the hammock end. For me all I see worth doing is salvaging the extra line. I like a drip ring at the hammock. YMMV. ;-)
