    anyone seen these before?

    interesting. where do you envision using this? seems like we are fine just larks heading the rope onto the object.

    depending on the strength of these you may be able to use it as a toggle for whoopie slings

    but a stick is much cheaper

    It would not be a toggle. It might be used as a way to attach the whoopee to the loop on the hammock. I'm still trying to figure out why I would want it on a boat given the cost. Must be there is rigging to shift on the bigger one's. ;-)

    They make it easy to undo a larkshead after it has set.
    Useful with bigger lines that see much heavier loads.

    Would come in handy undoing sheet bends in diy hammocks it they were $1 and the right size.

    They actually start at $2 if I'm reading it right. Saved that page a few years ago thinking they were neat, still haven't found a reason to purchase them though....

    You will have to direct me to the $2. In the OP's link, I find the smallest size to be $39.99 CAN. The lowest I found with a quick search was ~$28.

    S2 S3 S5... not
