Thanks for putting the Gigapower on as you know I was looking at getting a canister stove and I have actually narrowed my search to that and the Msr Pocketrocket, but I think I am going to go with the Gigapower since it looks like it would support my pots better. So thank you for the video it helped me out with my decision.
The Gigapower is a terrific stove. I am just on an alky stove "kick" lately.

If a camper has the time, carrying less fuel to save weight make the Thing a serious consideration for a stove for me to carry...
I'm starting to investigate the wood stoves too...
Thanks for the laughs in the video...June is going to be awesome!
Cool ... the Thing is growing on you. Yeah ... can't wait for June!!!

Ahhhh . . . another cold, wet, windy day made much brighter and warmer by a new Shug video. The family and I loved it, just like all the others. If you're interested, I could send you my mother's cocoa recipe--it would be interesting to know how it stacks up for a true cocoa connoisseur!

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver

I'm the opposite I am getting off of the alky stove kick. I have just gotten tired of them. But to stay on topic keep all these entertaining videos coming.

I am touched that a family watches them together. Of course I try to make them "family-friendly" so that no one is embarrassed ... well, except embarrassed for me! I WOULD LOVE your Mom's cocoa recipe ... that would make my week!!!!!

I hear ya' ... these urges come and go! Stoves tend to be a piece of gear I flip-flop on every year or so.
Going Alky and Woodstove combo this year. Canister from time to time just so it doesn't feel bad.....

I gotta say I love my "dirt bag" alky stove and am looking forward to giving it a season's worth of usage this year.

Always love your vids, Shug; keep 'em up and keep you goofy!

"Dirt Bag" = backpacking on the cheap, in some circles. My alky stove is a mad cat clone, Fancy Feast cat food can and all.
