    Hammock body against my face

    Friends:

I have a Hennessy Hammock and would like to know how you all resolve the problem of having the hammock against your face while you sleep. It kind of feels weird to have plastic against my face instead of a space so may nose/face is free.

    Thanks amigos,

    Migs

I find using some sort of pillow (either an a camping pillow or just some cloths in a stuff sack) works pretty well to keep the fabric off one's face. It keeps you from laying directly on the fabric but also pushes it away so it's not wrapping right around your face.

+1 on the cloths in a stuff sack. You usually have both anyways...if I am car camping, I bring a pillow though.

    Roll over...on your back.

I'm kidding, just kidding, but seriously don't lay on your stomach.

When I got to Maine this summer one of my first surprises was that the sun comes up before 5:00. My wife had some small plastic clips to hang lights on the RV and I used one to hold the edge of the fabric to the ridgeline. Any small clip would work.

    +1 for a pillow.

I have a nice soft-shell jacket that almost always comes with me anywhere I go that makes a really nice pillow when folded.

    Find your perfect pillow.

Welcome to the hammock family!! You could try tie outs on the hammock. Also, if the fabric is hanging in your face which I am assuming that is what you are having an issue with you may also do what is called the knotty mod here is the thread

You all are amazing. I didn't expect so many answers.

I camp a lot in a 2 man tent (by myself) but am venturing into this hammock world. Have lots of questions that I will post in new threads.

But thanks for answering this one!

Do you use the tie outs on the hammock? I've found that helps a lot in keeping the side/netting out of my face more.

    Just a thought.
