    New MI hanger

Whats up guys/gals? Awesome forum! Just converted to hanging over the course of the last 2 years or so, finally was able to convince the wife to hang for a night camping. She doesn't want to sleep in a tent again! Score! Just wanted to say what a wealth of DIY info this place has. I've made a few DIY hammocks and UQ's for my wife and I from all the tips on this site. Amazing! Looking forward to gleaming some more tips and tricks from all the experienced hangers here.

I just saw that and it sounds awesome. I have a hiking trip planned to the Jordan River Pathway the weekend before and a trip planned to Drummond Island the weekend after, so..... maybe? I guess it depends on the if I can get my wife to warm up to idea of spending 3 weekends in a row away from the comforts of home!

Glad to see another Michiganian here,
I'm just getting into hammock camping. Please post some pics of your hiking trips on Jordan River and Drummond Island trails. Reading about some of the hiking trips and viewing photos and videos of others, helps with deciding which trails go on my "must hike" list.

I for one, also glean information (do's and don'ts) from others posted information.

I will. I do the same! A "must hike" for anyone in the lower peninsula is the Manistee River trail, IMO. If you haven't done it, check it out!

I had never heard of the Manistee River Trail, until about a week ago, when someone posted some photos of their hike on this forum. I put this one on my list.
