we get together at the 501(shelter on the AT) from time to time ... it's a great was to see different gear and learn new tricks
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
thanks. curious about the location of the 501. have done some of the AT between cumberland valley to just short of the MD line.

Welcome to the forum, from Ohio. Once you start DIY, it can't stop, then every flat surface of your home becomes work areas. My house hasn't looked the same in 3 years!!
Welcome from Mt Penn. This is a great place for info! Everyone is very helpful so don't be afraid to ask about anything you aren't sure of. As for the 501 shelter, it's just off of I-78 near Bethel. Very easy to get to.
