I think this might be my most beautiful hang yet

Had a chance to hang in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest over the weekend. My friends were camping on Harriet Lake near Three Lakes, WI and I joined them. I wish I would have had a good enough camera with me to get a shot of the stars reflecting in the lake the first night, but here are a couple of shots I got with my phone.

I live in Milwaukee and go to Rhinelander, not far from Three Lakes, at least once a year. I try to hike someplace in the national forest every time I go up there. I love being in the woods anywhere, but there is something different up there, something better.

“Stories set in the Culture in which Things Went Wrong tended to start with humans losing or forgetting or deliberately leaving behind their terminal. It was a conventional opening, the equivalent of straying off the path in the wild woods in one age, or a car breaking down at night on a lonely road in another.”
