Hello from Maine and the road!

Hello everyone on HF! Name here is Deane and I hail from the great state of Maine. I found this gem of a forum from watching Shugs' videos on YT. Thank you Shug! I have been a camping/hiking person as long as I remember but I've always been in tents or slept in the back of my offloading vehicles. Not getting any younger I find myself uncomfortable sleeping in a tent or even in the back of my Jeep. I don't get as much time to go camping or hiking like I used to due to my line of work, which is a truck driver this is what I get to see the US in as of now. I've been looking into starting my new hammock camping experience soon just been looking at various hammocks on the market. This forum is very helpful to NEWBS like me and want to thank all of you that help and contribute to make this style of camping progress. I look forward to sharing pics and vids once I obtain my very own hammock. Once again thank you all. Oh and before I forget I do have a question......
Are there any HAM Radio operators on this forum that take your portable rigs out with you?

Great picture. Advantage of hammocks, you can hang 'em most anywhere.

Welcome aboard from Florida. Just back from a couple of months in Maine. Had a hang on the property with some Mainers while there and meet some great people. Will be back next summer and having more hangs. Look forward to meeting if you can make it.
