    UQ on BB

OK, I am considering a warbonnet bb. However, I am uncertain my UQ will fit on it. Does anyone have any experience using a UQ on a BB?

I have a JRB nest and will soon have a modded KAQ, which will fit on my Claytor JH. I am wondering if either of these will work on the BB. Thanks.

    Hacktorious,

JRB has tested its UQs on the WBBB...

Here is the summary from another response on this question.

The JRB UQs ( Nest, Winter Nest, No Sniveller, Hudson River, Rocky Mtn Sniveller,Old Rag Mtn, Stealth, Shenandoah, Even the new MT Washington-4 and upcoming Mt Washington-3) all fit the WBBB just fine.....

Here is a photo from our frequently asked questions page showing the MW-3 on the WBBB....We didnot photo the nest but it fits as well...Scroll to the bottom http://www.jacksrbetter.com/FAQ.htm

Yeah, I can't think of any reason the JRB quilts wouldn't work on a BB. I need to order the suspension just so I can try it myself, but I can't imagine they wouldn't work as well on a BB as they do on everything else.

I haven't done it yet but I have been thinking of adding omnitape to the top edge of the footbox of the hammock to match the Omni tape of the No Sniv.

    Dutch,

    That would work.

Far easier would be the adding of a simple loop at the point that corresponds to the HH right knee, foot tie out.... then use an elastic tie out aka HH tie out...10-14 hand stitches gg loop would do it....The lay of these two hammocks is almost identical as far as the asym lie is concerned....The just put the tie out through the UQ ladder loop.

Are you coming to the MAHHA?

The reason I asked is because I read this thread:
    http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=7536

Seems like the footbox is an issue for the quilt.

    hacktorious,

    There is no issue.

In fact the actual bottom of a BB is 120 inches by 65 and a gathered end design... Almost identical to an ENO or HH in size.... It just does not have the asym tie outs of the HH.... The sides and foot end fabric has a triangle of material that substitutes for HH bug netting to give the asym room for feet.... When added to the additional 3-4 inch border between the bottom and the netting it makes the top more spacious.... It does not affect the bottom which the UQ fits, just like it does on an ENO or HH.
