I picked up one of those neck pillows that you can blow up, brand new, for $1 in a clearance bin. I love that thing. I never lose it in the middle of the night if I move around in the hammock, and keeps the neck warm in cooler weather camping. For summer use, I also have a $3 travel pillow that compresses down to nothing, but sometimes wake up wondering how it got down to the middle of my back.

I designed a Bridge Pillow that is part of my Bridge Hammocks. It weighs approximately 0.1 oz. A single piece of noseeum approximately 14"x12" hung from 2 corners and the sides. The position is adjustable and I can swap ends in a few seconds.

In really cold weather, I use one of those blow-up pillows underneath my Bridge Pillow as insulation for my head. If I sleep on my side, I can use the blow-up pillow between my bony knees.

In the future I'll use Organza instead of noseeum and save about 0.04 oz

I like it since I find it to be very comfortable and since it is part of the hammock, it is always just there in the perfect position for me and impossible to lose.

I'm beginning to wonder if it was some kind of drunken spam. Dude hasn't been here since he made the post.

I have and like this small inflatable:

Here's a store bought version of Shug's stuff sack pillow hanging down from the inside head end of a gathered-end hammock:

    or

    http://www.rei.com/product/781189 for a sil-nylon version.

I have to admit I found the hanging stuff sack less comfortable than my inflatable, possibly because of the sleep mechanics involved with using a pillow (sleep mechanics? Did I just make that up?).

I keep mine rolled up inside my sleeping pad. Don't have to worry about losing it, that way.

I've found that I absolutely don't like a pillow in a hammock. Since I'm laying on the diagonal, my head is near the edge where the hammock starts to curve up. I lay my head on the curl, voila, built-in pillow. As always, HYOH.
