Head to the right, Feet to the left. I've tried the other diagonal, but it just feels "wierd" to me.
This is in a DIY gathered end hammock.

Head right, feet left. even most of the time in the BlackBird hammock. Just feels right, I mean left, I mean right.

I have never slept in one position, ask my wife, I toss and turn a bunch. I just like to move. However, the one thing I have been able to do in a hammock that I have never been able to do in a bed is sleep on my back. I particularly enjoy hanging my feet a little higher than my head and reversing that blood flow for a while. I find it really refreshing and relaxing.
I am also able to sleep on my left side in a hammock, seldom do that in a bed.
Most importantly, as compared to my GD days, I get good sleep.

I always sleep on my right side or on my back in a bed. Will the right side sleeping work well in a HH?
I didn't realize that you don't have the freedom to angle to either side.
I sleep on both sides in my HH Explorer UL. But I usually gravitate to my left side. I guess I just enjoy sucking the hammock fabric as I snore.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

So, right side sleeping should keep the fabric out of my face. Guess I just got lucky. (still waiting on the hammock, so I haven't tried it yet)
I go right to left in my Claytor. BTW I love the Shug quote you have in your sig.....Sounds like me and my camping gear
I loaned my Hennessy to someone and she managed to sleep with her head where the feet usually go. Not sure how she got in through the slit that way... or maybe she's a really active sleeper?
I'm usually left to right, on my side (either).
