    Tablecloth Hammock Dbl

So I got my two new 90x132 blanks from Tableclothfactory today and decided to try a double so that this weekend in Iowa I can slide a pad inbetween them for the projected 40's that will be there today.

What I didn't expect was how stiff they feel together. I've been sleeping in singles for over a year but this sucker almost feels like I'm already on a pad. Stiffer then my BlackBird, though my Blackbird was probably as stiff new.
My old one is due a wash and dry which shrinks it back some, you can tell buy how saggy and hard it is to get out of in the morning. That and the stench!

But this dang thing is like pouring water out of a boot with the directions on the heal.

Getting ready to give it a test sleep now.

Nice colors - better do a pulse check on that dog; I'm not sure he's alive.

I have a DL tablecloth hammock - very popular with my kids. They like the lack of stretch and it feels more like a bed to them.

Been thinking about a double for car camping and at the homestead. Gonna keep my single for longer range stuff. Tablecloths are great fot me because I don't do any Ultralight hiking or camping. Nice color combo, by the way.

Duffy, I'm an 8 year Aircrewman. C-130's out of VQ-4 in Pax River, MD. Wouldn't trade that experience for anything in the world!

I was only NAC for 4 years in VP48 in late 70s. I wish I had a hamock back then!

What is the weight rating of a single vs double taffeta?
I may be dumb, but at least I'm ugly!

I've done so much, with so little, for so long, now I can do anything with nothing.

It's not peer pressure, it's just your turn.

I've heard that people have destruction tested single layers to ~400lbs. I have a single and a double layer tablecloth and both of them hold me just fine at 275. I feel safe in the single layer but wouldn't push it too far past myself.

I've had myself (285 at the time) my Grand-daughter at 40, my grandson at 15 and my biggest dog at 45 in the hammock with me at the same time. For a brief period, add an 8 pound cat. It was just too nervous for him so he bugged out.

thats 393 and no damage with plenty of swinging (when Juice jumps in he doesn't always do it gently though most of the time it's a slow pull climb in).

Two layers? well I don't have an elephant to test it out with but,,,,

My wife loves purple and it looks snazzy on the yellow Amsteel and I thought I'd try and get an earth tone out there with the Sage so when camping out, if I need to, I'll just flip it over. But the two colors do go fairly well together.

    Know how much this weighs?
Woke up this morning, and I had those Walking Blues....

mmmmmm, mines out in the truck close to the very top of the stack as the first thing I'm doing when I get there tonight is putting up my hammock and going to bed. have to work late and then drive the 4 hours to a fly in.

I'd say they weight exactly TWICE what a single ways minus the suspension, but if I get a chance at lunch I'll grab it and find a scale, there's got to be one around here somewhere. We ship mail for a living.
