    Splicing Amsteel

Spliced some Amsteel today as I now that the hammocks are adjusted in the house to get rid of all the slack switched them over to continuous loops with a whoopie hook for a clean look. Must say I would much rather splice Dynaglide it is so much nicer to work with.

Agreed, dynaglide is a tad easier. I find the difference nearly negligible though. What method do you use?
I use a guitar string for all splicing and - while not the easiest - it has been more than effective. I say "more than" because I also throw the guitar wire in my pack when I go on trips and splice in the backwoods if needed. Very multiuse piece, is a guitar string in the outdoors - and it is nearly weightless.

I use a loop turner works awesome on Dynaglide, so effortless.

Seems like a great method. I will check one of them out next time I'm at Joanne's.
    Thanks.
