Listed Bear Mtn Bridge Hammock on Ebay if interested

For anyone interested, I have listed on Ebay the following : "Bear Mountain Bridge (BMB) Hammock - used once - JRB". I find most people prefer the buyer protection of Ebay so list items there, but wanted to let folks know in this forum who may want to look at it. Thanks!

taken from the ebay page... "In warm weather, I use a lighter hammock set up and in colder weather, I am returning to the gound in a tent these days." sounds to me like a confession

You caught me! In colder weather I am using the Gossamer Gear "The One" although not as comfortable as a hammock, the configuration I use is much lighter for the warmth than the hammock set up for below freezing nights. Most of the year remains an 11 oz travel hammock with a MLD cuben tarp configuration. But not to leave my hammock totally behind, when I carry The One, I just picked up a 7 oz mesh style Highlander hammock to string up in the middle of the day when I just want to stretch out and "smell the roses" relaxing or use in camp at night for sitting around.

Doh! I was prepared to bid on your hammock until I read this from the JRB site:

"It will comfortably accommodate individuals up to 6 foot 3 inches tall and up to 225 pounds of capacity."

Guess us fat guys are out of luck.

Bridge hammocks are reasonably easy to make yourself.

I have a DIY bridge that I would let go for $75.00 with the option to return it if you don't like it. I'm in the 250 range. PM me if you want more details.

Sorry I did not see your question before it ended, but as a gear discussion item, these were the only mods I made and simply little pockets for shaving weight by leaving the spreader bars behind. I do backpack in the 20-25 mile per day range typically so every bit of weight matters and I try to eliminate it when unnecessary. I am definately not the skilled DIYer that some of you are, so even little pockets are a challenge for me!
