    VA>Elliot Knob Hike>Nov 1st-3rd>Hike-n-Hang

Oh Fall is upon us and I want to smash out some backpacking trips this season. I wanted to do this trip earlier but because of other events I am attending as well as some family functions I had to push this date back quite a few weeks. This hike is short in distance but still has some challenges and one may one to do alittle research before committing to it. It will be stretched over 3 days 2 nights so the effort involved in this hike is going to be minimal compared to a single day hike of the trail. The campsite locations are still undetermined at this point and I may just keep it that way to allow for a more flexible trip for everybody. We also have to be conscious of the head count. These hike-n-hangs can grow in size rather quickly so may have to post a cut-off at one point to avoid problems with violating any GWNF rules.

I would just like to add that I have never hiked this trail and have very little knowledge of it other than what the site has provided in the description. It will be a first time for me as well. And Yoda can vouch that I am just as prone to getting lost as anybody else. lol...Bring a map and a compass. They came in quite handy on the last Hike-n-Hang when we found ourselves bushwhacking.

Can't wait to go and I look forward to seeing yall...Should be a blast...Someone bring some white-lighting and a some good stories for the campfire...

This is only 30 minutes from my home town of Waynesboro. Love the area. Depending upon scout schedule and the NoVa hang at PWF. I will see if I can make it.

Well I took a look at my work schedule last night and I am currently scheduled to work on the 2nd. So as of now this is a no go for me, if that should change I will post here.

    So sad....

Just realized how small the parking area is for this hike so think the limit should only be a few cars unless we can shuttle some people to and from the trailhead.

Gonna miss this by a week. I'll keep an eye out for future ones though, I too want to hit a bunch of spots this fall.
