    Overwhelmed!!!

I recently started looking at the Dream Hammock website, and was simply overwhelmed by the amount of customization available. It is forcing me to really develop a clear idea about what I want out of my next hammock. It's really cool how involved you get in creating your very own Dream Hammock. With that said, does anyone have any advice and/or anecdotes about how they decided what model, size, materials, etc. to pick from Dream Hammock?

I agree. Pappa Smurf's site is outstanding and make you a more informed buyer. Great site for great products.

After having an 11 footer I'll never go shorter.

I think I would just call, tell PS my details, and ask "which one should I get?"!

Well, the problem I have is that I'm fuzzy on the details that I would give. What I'm trying to do is think about my likes and dislikes for each hammock I have owned and then figure out what that translates to in terms of the option available on the site.

If you get an 11' dangerbird get the extra zipper sliders on both the over cover and the bug net. I did both sides after the fact. If it was available when I ordered it I would have gotten it

I have several of Papa Smurf's creations. If you are only going to get one, get the Thunderbird, so that you have the versatility of being able to remove the net or cover or both. The overcover provides great warmth, which may not be an issue in Texas, but blowing dust might be.
