    Growing Hammock trees

Planted some hammock trees and they are growing hammocks after just a couple of days. Just have to figure out when the hammocks are ready to pick.

Actually I planted 3 more pier pilings to my backyard hanging site so I can now set up 9 hammocks at one time. Why did I do it ?....why not

Also did it for a hanging class for a boy scout troop that is in the works.

I can now hold my own group hang in my back yard. The only drawback is that it would be very difficult to set up tarps for the 3 inner hammocks.

The pilings are 7 to 8 inch diameter and 12+ feet long salt treated pier pilings that I purchased from a local marine hardware store. Dug the holes 30+ inches deep with a post hole digger. Took me and my son's help to get then upright and into the holes.

Those are some good looking hammock trees. I wish my father-in-law could grow those at his nursery for me.

My hammock trees are on year 4 of my five year plan. No more wash line for me.
