Another option would be the WP/B socks that MedicineMan and HangNOut have been prototyping and testing over the last couple of years. A sock'll shed wind better than just about anything else, and if it's waterproof...

The only problem would be with the TDS; I would still want to stake out the windward side of the stand, just in case, under those conditions.

If you're still wanting a tarp configuration, a smaller (read: "tiny little asym") tarp will have less sail area. It can be combined with a waterproof or water resistant undercover to shed rain and wind under less-than-ideal conditions. I've use this in up to ~25 to 30 MPH gusts and wasn't particularly worried about my lines pulling loose (and it was a DIY, so my confidence in the construction durability was less than a manufactured one).

Hope it helps!
