Found Thread Injector Help--Kenmore Model 1102

Found a Kenmore Injector, Model 148-11020. Has anyone had an experience with this machine and know where I can get a free manual?

Its missing the power cord and foot control, but since I've gotten this thing for free I took a shot and orders some of the interwebs and will take it in for a full service once they get here.

I'm looking to supplement the Singer 15-91 and possibly make this a dedicated hemming machine if there are any decent attachments that would work to do rolled hems.

How would it compare to the Singer?

You can get a foot control here - http://www.sew-classic.com/

Sorry, I can usually find manuals, but not this one. I do know this model was made in 1970.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

All I'm finding so far is some threading info and and downloads you can buy.

    Thanks.

The foot control I got off Ebay was a bit cheaper, and it does seem like the only info on the machine is the year of production. I did find a threading and bobbin winding guide. I found some manuals, but they all want about $8.00 for a download. I guess I'll keep looking and if the machine gets up and running, go ahead and get one of those manuals, I look for some attachments as well.

With the manual available on ebay, I'm guessing it's out there for free as well. You might try joining the Yahoo Kenmore Group and see if they have it.

Kenmore was a Sears nameplate of what ever brand them the best deal for that model year. Some of them are good, some not so much. Sears had the nasty habit of making small proprietary changes to their machinery, appliances and tools making it difficult to get them serviced by anyone but Sears. That may explain the sparcity of manuals available. Sears in that era did not play well with the other children.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I was in a similar boat and got one by Googling for it. I'd be happy to mail or email you the pdf file of the Kenmore manual for model 1774, if you want it.

And yes, it was about $8 by CD from either eBay or Amazon. I don't mind giving you a copy.

It was a big help when I wanted to clean and oil our machine and learn what all the dials did. I can't say exactly just how similar our machines are.

Well, if it has "dials", as in more than one, its likely worlds apart as this one looks to be more like a spaced aged Singer 201.

Here's the threading diagram I found:

The mechanism appears to be much closer to the class 15 machines.
