Recently went on week one of my woodbadge training. Hello fellow critters. Weather was just about perfect. Little warm at the start but settled out in the end. Thanks to the hammock though all those hard working and tiring days ended on a very positive note. Now back to that ticket........

Wasn't allowed to hang at the second half of my wood badge course. My patrol insisted to used old leaky timberlines to show how a patrol camps. (Don't agree, but I was outnumbered) Glad to see you got to hang!
Work that ticket if you can.

The staffers supplied tents for us week one, but I hung on week two. That was only my second time hammock camping actually.

Used to be a Bobwhite.... but for some reason they think the bird sleeps on the ground, not in trees.... something ridiculous about patrols, not lone-birding it in comfort. SR991.

Yeah they made us sleep in cabins the first weekend. The second weekend I hung. I was one if two out of thirty that hung for the weekend. I used to be an Eagle a good ole eagle too. 234-11

I used to be an Eagle, a good 'ol Eagle too....
C2-02-05, at the Northern Tier, late February.
I didn't hang back then, but stayed one night at 20 below in a parachute tent, and another in snow ditch.

That's totally rad, Grizz! Really cold weather camping is definitely on my bucket list. Maybe I'll get up to Northern Tier for some OKPIK or maybe I will just try a Frozen Butt Hang...
Well this Eagle has a patrol that encourages me to sleep in the trees. Look forward to the second weekend and how those trees will sleep. Nice to see that I follow in many footsteps here on the forums.
