Zing it or lash it makes a good ridge line cord. You can also use 7/64 amsteel, but it's a bit of over kill.

I've made one adjustable ridge line and I use it just to figure out what length ridge line is most comfortable for each one of my diy hammocks. then I just make a ridgleine to that length and call it good. I've used techline, zing it, and zline. I would experiment starting out at 83% o your hammock length and go longer or shorter depending. you will feel the difference in hang with just small adjustments.
