This was in today's Washington Post:
Weather pattern trends wintry towards Thanksgiving
Cooler than normal temperatures are likely for the period from Sunday, November 24 through December 1.
During this upcoming period, high temperatures are expected to average in the 40s with lows mostly in the mid-30s. This compares to average highs in the low-to-mid 50s and average lows in the upper 30s.
Bring your cold weather gear!!!

I will call the park today to make sure the closure will not impact out plans.

Thank you, BFGMofo! I was just about to inquire if anyone had, to avoid us all calling and overwelming them - wearing out our welcome!
Yes, keep us all inforfmed, hopefully we wont have to leave the park at midnight saturday.
Great news, I just got confirmation from the park and we are good to go for Friday and Saturday nights. We just need to be out by the checkout time on Sunday which is high noon.

I will be sporting one of SMr's prototype Nubé hammock shelters, my new SMr Pares hammock, my winter recliner hammock chair and a HandyHammock treeless hammock from England. Oh yeah, and I will be testing my new polar pod from tree to tree so I say bring on the cold weather.

All I can say is that I'm glad this is a car camping trip. I'll be sure to bring (what I hope will be) sufficient insulation. I'll also have a new door kit for my tadpole, and tent pole mod to open it up with cathedral ceilings inside.
I'm excited.
I'm going to have the car loaded with cloths and various forms of insulation. Probably two or three hammocks as well and a couple of chairs and firewood, cook stove. Car camping it is. Think I'll sleep in the HH. Oh and the jump starter for the CPAP. Going to love that 20 degree air in my face.
