    Descending Rings - Where??

I've been looking round on the tinterweb for some rings to convert my new Claytor when I get it but I can't find anything. I've done searches for belay rings, descending rings, forged steel rings, steel o rings, rappel rings you name it, i've tried it. Now over in the states you can pick these things up for next to nothing anywhere, so why can't I get them over here.

Any help for a source would be great.

p.s. REI want $21 which TBH is a bit of a joke for $12 worth of gear.

    Or also here.

    And Here.

Don't know what they charge for shipping to UK, however.

As I read the shipping info the $65 was a place holder and would be adjusted when the the order was processed. But yeah... It sucks big time.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Check your local hardware store for Aluminum rings (I actually have some brass rings as well.) You can get them here at Ace Hardware, but they are not climbing rated. My brass ones are good for 240 lbs each (109 kilos) x 2, so I feel pretty safe with them.

If I lived near a store that sold them I would pick some up and ship them over to you myself. Be a ton cheaper. But alas, I don't have that luxury.
