Here's how I do it. Since hammocks are different diameters and lengths, I just grab the bottom of the hammock and wrap it around and around, like a burrito wrap. Yes, the hammock needs to be hung up.

Then I take a tape measure and measure the diameter at various points on the hammock - write them down - now you have the sizes you need.
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

honestly i use an unrolled shower loofah as a hammock skin, it wont win any beauty contests but its ultra light and oddly durable, ive had one on my hammock for 2 years and haven't had to replace it yet and when i do have to replace it, it's only 1$

I forgot all about those - they work great and they're very cheap.

I got one of those from Walmart and tried it as a skin. It ripped way too easily.

Yes recently tried the walmart loofah for $1 and it didn't even make it over the hammock one time before it was shredded..
