Best thread for DIY gear

Can someone tell me the best sewing thread to use making DIY hammocks and tarp? Thanks.

Gutermann is pretty standard, i like the mara 70, and so does my thread injector.

If you have a Joann's close by you can pick up Gutermann "Sew-All" Thread in a 1000 meter spool : http://www.joann.com/gutermann-sew-a...yds-/prd13385/

I have used this thread with great success.

Gutermann's is what I use the most of, but what you're looking for is a high quality 100% polyester thread.

I've used Guterman as well for pretty much everything. The sew-all variety is not as strong as some of the stuff from DIY. He has a great selection of Guterman thread..But Make sure YOUR Machine can use it. I've had trouble with my kenmore feeding some heavier thread while the singer will run most anything.

Have you had a problem using the Sew-All for hammocks and tarps? I have yet to have any drama's with it.
