    Baffles

Just want to ask, what's up with baffles.
I'm planning to make my first UQ for myself, apparently down comes in packs of 50 grams (1.764 oz) which is perfectly 1/4 amount of down needed.
Is there a reason whe there's 8 or 9 baffles? What happens if there's only four? It should make it easier to stuff and measure amounts...
But how it will affect insulation properties?

The larger your baffles are the easier it is for down to shift. You can get spots with high loft, and other spots with almost no down.
