    Snowy jaunt

Snowed quite a bit last night, so I though I'd go out for a jaunt and hang on the nearby mountain. This flatlander isn't used to snow in September, but he sure does love it.

WOW That is some snow! Course we only get one or two snows here in Central Arkansas. I would love that...for about a week, then I'd want it gone. We are planning a short hike this weekend and they are calling for rain/storms, it is probably going to be the same system that brought you snow. Great pics, looks like fun.

Get used to it, Flatlander! ( says another flatlander!) Here is a pic of my 1st encounter with WY snow:

Yep, might as well get used to snow in Sept, since the above picture was taken on June 27, 1985. Of course, this was up at 10,000 ft or so, I do not know if it snowed down at the lower elevations like say ~5000 at Lander, at the foot of these mountains, in the middle of summer. But I also would not be shocked if it does happen on occasion.

Flatlanders (-: ,,,,,,,,,,,,, We got snow on the mts here, a bit early. It'll be a while before it gets to the valley bottom. Snow is a beautiful thing.

I heard that somewhere in Oregon had the most snow for this time of year ever, or at least in many decades.

    EDIT: Oh, here it is:

Yikes! That's a lot of snow! June snow would be A-OK with me, but I think my wife would have different feelings.

Thanks for posting that photo, mbiraman, I always immensely enjoy your pics.
