Question Hangin' in the 'Hill - planning

OK, we have quite a few hanger in the Rock Hill, SC area and I keep hearing we should organize a hang.

Turns out, one of the rangers at Ebenezer Park also hangs so how many people are interested in a local hang?

    Details:

No reservation system yet (targeting spring 2014) so it'll be first come first serve but it's only 5 minutes from my house so I can grab spots

$18/night for York county residents. There's two of us right here so we can start the process and hold spots

6 people per site, 2 tents per site - Ranger will look the other way for hammocks provided we respect the people per site rule

Water, power, wifi, hot showers, etc...

We're in slow season so spots shouldn't be an issue. I scoped out some nice groupings.

If interested, let me know. I thinking Nov/Dec time frame. This could be nice in the summer once the reservation system is in place. Swimming, boating, open fields, playgrounds, etc.

    more than likely

Rooster and I are in Chester, so we could do that, depending on dates. Kings Mtn would be good too.

Looking into Kings Mtn also. I'll have to drive out and see how far the primitive site is off the road.

hotrod and I are in Rock Hill. So is Tato. We should definitely plan for one.
I was thinking about us maybe having one in Andrew Jackson State Park near my house. We could call it "Relaxin' in Jackson"

    Andrew Jackson State Park

    Not far, not as expensive.

Primitive Group Area : The primitive group camping area is ideal for organized groups up to 50 people. (An organized group is defined as a group that holds regular meetings and has a lead officer or elected/appointed officials.)

The area includes picnic tables, fire rings and is located ½ mile from the restrooms.

Reservations are accepted. To make a primitive group camping reservation, contact the park directly.

Minimum rate is $10 -$12.50 which allows up to ten campers. The rate increases by $5-$6.50 increments for each additional five campers.
