    My new UQ

I had some material laying around that I purchased a few years ago to make a topquilt, but never got around to it. I always meant to buy a sewing machine and learn to use it. In the end I asked my good friend John Donewar use the material to make me a summer underquilt. Here's a few pics:

The shell material is Momentum MR, black on one side, green on the other. The insulation is a single layer of Climashield XP 2.5 . It measures 46 x 52 and weighs in at 10.4 ounces. I can't wait to test it and see what it's temperature limits are .

FWIW, I finally did buy a sewing machine, so hopefully I start to catch the fever

Looks great man, I just made a 2.5oz top quilt and this is just the thing I need to get going on a matching underquilt.

How did you make a 2.5oz top quilt? I'm about to make UQ, and would like any advice.
