HELP! Emergency repair-calling all thread injector pros!

Not sure where to post this.

The two layers of fabric on My 1.1 DL WBBB tore apart about 1/2" a few weeks ago. I sewed it by hand and seemed fine, but it tore again while I was backpacking over the weekend. I was surprised since I'm VERY gentle with all my gear and never have problems.

Is there anyone out there that can repair this for me? I'm more concerned about the durability than the looks of the repair.

Let me know what it would cost, and I will also cover the shipping. I would like to have it back for a trip 10/10/13. So, anyone nearby (Ft Wayne, IN) would be great.

Here are some photos. The two layers are tearing apart by the zipper, near the head end. Can it even be repaired? The nylon seems too thin to hold thread and I'm guessing it would keep tearing the material. I don't know much about this stuff though.

You can see here that it's more than just the thread coming undone; the nylon is tearing as well. The blue thread is from my first attempt at a repair.

    Thanks!

I haven't had a WBBB DL. Is that at an opening for the pad pocket?

I think you will need a patch sewn on over the rip with the upper edge stitched back to the zipper.

You better hustle if you need it back by 10/10. If Brandon can't get it taken care of in time, I'm a couple of hours south of you.

2QZQ does zipper mods, not sure if ZQ would be able to do that though, but she might. I've heard she does some pretty amazing things with a thread injector.

On it's way to Warbonnet! It will be close since they wanted $100 to send overnight; not much less for 2-day. Ouch!

$100 is pretty severe. How did you send it? Just wondering....

Ended up using UPS ground (3 days) for $15. The UPS store really marks it up. It would have been about $11 using UPS at work but I had the day off and didn't want to drive in.

Just hoping I can get it back in time...but I told Brandon whatever happens, I won't hold it against him! Bad timing with all my fall trips planned but I know it will get done right.

That is very, very, very charitable of you.
