Not saying it is right but they are shipping from Canada where rates are way higher than in US.

Their prices sure have climbed since my last Oct Odd n Ends purchase a few years ago. Still cheaper than new I guess.

Not cheap enough, I maybe I am just too cheap! But, they also have to deal with eBay fees using this format. The hammock I would want is the Explorer UL Zip which retails for $269, prices on the auction range from $149 to $169. Could I make my own for that price? Would I want to? Maybe I'll stick a crowbar in the wallet and get one. I wonder if Ol Smokey is still available...

Fair enough, yet you still are getting it for about 100$ cheaper! Even though some are a small repair item, like a ridgeline, or tie out repair I still think it's a better price than new.... how cheap do you want it????? get a 12$ amazon hammock and sew on a net with a zipper.

Also the fact that for most whom are drawn to Hennessy are mostly new to hammocks, and having it come with a tarp, lines and all ready to take out in the woods is more well really less decisions than ordering from another maker.

I've had several HH, WBBB, WB Traveler, DD, home made. The thing is I wouldn't be satisfied with it as it came. I would want to change the suspension, most likely the tarp...I think I just talked myself into making my own..

FWIW you can get the hammock new for 180/190$ direct from the Hennessy site, you can order them with or without the tarp and options. Just hit the customize button.
