I use the Nemo Fillo. It has a 1-inch foam layer and a blow-up air part. (And an elastic cord on the back that you can put a shirt or something in if you want it even thicker, though I don't think you'd ever need that in a hammock; I don't even blow it up all the way in the hammock.) Soft microsuede cover that's removable and washable. And it packs down pretty small. Love it!

I use a Nemo. It has air baffles + memory foam. The baffle direction is perfect for the conntour of the hrammock. Just a little air needed. It compresses into attached stuff sack. Goes real small. Has stretch cord on back to add jacket ect. for hight. Front covered in fleece.

I use a down pillow from underground quilts. Before I had used nothing, but now that I've tried it with the down pillow of keeper cord, I love it.

I have a Wiggys pillow that came with a sleeping bag - very comfy and firm, but too much volume to carry.
The Cub is about the size of a energy drink can. The Bear would fit inside a 1 litter Nalgeen bottle if the mouth of the bottle did not choke down...aka it's about a litter in volume.

The cub makes a great neck pillow while the bear is more of a compact camping pillow. My preference is the cub in a gathered end as I just need a little something to keep my neck from feeling hyperextended with the hammock supporting my head. The bear is my preference though in a bridge like the RidgeRunner where you don't have that curve of the hammock for the extra support.

I use a Thermarest Compressible Pillow (size small). It weighs 7.39 oz or 210 g ... well worth the weight for me.

That's funny, we just had this talk a little over a month ago.

I like a fleece covered inflatable pillow that came with a fleece blanket as a travel pack. I don't use this blanket as it's too small.

Just 1 breath of air is all I use. Let the air out and fold in half to put away. It takes almost no space and very lite.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

    Re: Pillow

Lots of great suggestions here. I grabbed one of these from MEC: http://www.mec.ca/product/5023-542/m...10+50130+50665

It works really well if left mostly deflated. Soft, insulated, and has silicone grips on the bottom which work well to keep it still while you sleep

Edit: it is worth mentioning that the contoured shape works well in a gathered end as well. Great neck support.

A friend of mine made me a DIY pillow, works great.

I don't need to make my pack lighter. I need to make my (_*_) lighter.
