    great hat

Doesn't look any sillier than some of the hats our youth are wearing today.

This is a super idea! Why don't you make a pocket with overlapping flaps in your hat to insert the 1.1 ripstop pillow? The flaps will keep the down insert in place without sewing it shut. That way, you can get double duty out of the hat: wearable during the day! Thanks for posting this great idea!

Thank you all for checking out the pillow hat! I thought it was kind of a goofy idea that would be funny to make but has turned out to be very functional!

I agree, hopefully people will elaborate on the idea. I am curious what others come up with.

I like this idea and the next one I make I am going to try this out! Thank you.

It's actually a simple and great idea. The only thing I personally would change is using synthetic insulation instead of down for the pillow portion.

    This is a winner!
I got in a fight one time with a really big guy, and he said, "I'm going to mop the floor with your face." I said, "You'll be sorry." He said, "Oh, yeah? Why?" I said, "Well, you won't be able to get into the corners very well."

Thanks! I have some climashield apex on its way for a couple of top quilts that i am making. I will have a bit left over and am going to try it and see how it works out.
